One of my hobbies is also art. I like making art myself and I also like viewing other people's art. I discovered that I was capable of drawing when I started attending Taipei British School in Taiwan. At that time it was the first art class I've ever taken. To my huge surprise, it turned out that I was not that bad at art and during one year at TBS I was able to explore with various media and different styles of expression. One of the pieces that I drew was "Taroko Gorge". I drew it off a photograph that I took before in Taroko Gorge in Taiwan. It's drawn with water-colors and I'll measure its size when I find a tape-measurer.

Later when I moved to the USA, I took two art classes in high school. There I continued learning and exploring with even more styles and media. This drawing was a sketch-book homework assignment. It's drawn in pencil.

This one was a classroom assignment and is drawn with brush and ink. During my three years of art classes I've done works with pencil, colored pencils, pastels, pen and ink, brush and ink, cante crayons, chalk, water colors, oil paint and clay. I've also done collages. I've used most media and think that pencil is my favorite. This page contains three very different pieces that represent over 50 works I've done (on the front page is my self-portrait). For the past two years I haven't worked on any art, but hopefully I will be able to take some art classes at UConn.
